GalvaCor - Oil and fat removal from degreasing baths
Degreasing is always the first and
one of the most important step in
every kind of surface treatment. A
not well operated degreasing will
give problems in the next steps, followed
by necessary correcting actions
and related extra costs. In order
to raise performance of degreasing
bathes and to ensure constant quality
one has to take out continuously oil
from the degreasing bath.
The WTN Galvacor systems
with tuned chemistry are perfectly suitable
for this task.
In general degreasing bathes contain oiland
grease-binding surfactants.
These long-chain oil-bearing tensides
can be separated from free tensides by
micro-filtration, the heart of the Galvacor
systems.
As a result one will get a degreasing
solution
with a very low oil content.
Operation principle
The system consists of a storage/
separator tank, a pump and a membrane
made of degreasing chemicals-resistant
material.
The degreasing liquid is pumped into
the storage/separator tank via a platefilter
system, to separate the solid particles.
Next the degreasing is directed
through the membrane area with high
speed and increased pressure.
The filtrate(clear liquid and free tensides)
runs back into the degreasing bath. The
oil with bound tensides is lead into the
storage/separator tank, where oil is separated
from the water and the bound tensides
are released by thermo-shock and
can be reused again. The oil can be disposed
as highly energetic waste.
