Waste Water Treatment Installations
Wasol , Developed for a cleaner and greener environment
WASOLs are a range of natural, innovative, harmless - but potent - bioadsorbants. They trap an amazing wide variety of contaminating molecules from both waste water and air, using a unique combination of both physical (physi-sorptive) and biochemical (chemi-sorptive) binding properties. Binding is strong and when necessary, reversible. WASOLs are derived from a waste material of the food processing industry and are therefore completely biodegradable in, and bio-compatible with, landfill. They may also be incinerated.
WASOLs are versatile and can trap a very wide range of pollutants including for instance:
- Metal ions (both anionic and ationic)
- Pesticide residues
- Dyes and pigments
- Phenols and polyphenolics (eg. humic acid)
- Oils from stable oil-in-water and water-in-oil-emulsions (eg. metal cutting fluids)
- Antibiotics
- Detergents/surfactants
- Acid gases inc. oxides of sulphur
- Mercaptans
- Herbicides
- Insecticides
- Biocides
